HDG #033: HDG’s top 10 health data resources

Happy Sunday, fellow healthcare aficionados! I’ve got some good news, and I’ve got some better news.

The “better” news is that between my independent healthcare + data consulting and working on a new endeavor, I’ve been very busy!

This has been an interesting time because many of you know I started a new professional season back in March 2023, and I’ve used the better part of 2023 to: a) write HDG every week, and b) evaluate where I wanted to go in the next season of my career. I shared 2 weeks ago my renewed career focus revelation: teaching and supporting healthcare organizations, professionals, founders, and healthtech innovators (such as you!) how to use data to expand their reach and create impactful, equitable change in healthcare—and this new endeavor will tie right into that.

I’m excited to share more about my new endeavor—a health equity innovation hub—as more details develop.

Two things I can share today:

  • We’ll be launching a health equity podcast focused on actionable information, case studies, and how-to’s

  • We’ll be making templates, training, support, and courses (with topics like understanding the healthcare ecosystem) available soon

So stay tuned! And you can be the first to see new updates as we announce them by following us on Linkedin.

P.S. What’s an Innovation Hub?

P.P.S. Before you all groan at the word “innovation,” know that my ability to power through groaning and skeptical audiences for literal years—until they finally start to believe I am actually, authentically championing what I say because I truly believe in it beyond buzzwords/profits/people who have used these terms and totally botched them and kind of ruined it for everyone—is not only unrivaled but also a little unnerving. Also noodle on how even something boring like automation can be innovative enough to have major impact in healthcare. This is going to be fun! Reply back if you’d like to get involved or brainstorm.

. . .

But thus, the “good" news (a euphemism for bad news):

HDG Weekly will now be HDG Monthly (on the 1st of every month).

This actually is good news though—it will give me more time throughout the month to write longer, more research- and resource-rich, actionable articles+health data how-to’s. So far, this has been the content you all have been most interested in (according to my website traffic).

To close the year out strong and in the spirit of that, this week is a list of Health Data Guru’s 10 most visited articles and/or data resources (as judged by you, you beautiful people who seem to be just as obsessed with healthcare as I am—talk about unnerving).

I’m so grateful you’re here. You made my 2023 awesome and full of purpose. Look for our next issue on January 1st—it’s gonna be a good one!
